Alicia what wouldn't I give to say Im going to see my Alicia today. To see her smile, to sit and talk a while.  My heart is always sad, there has never been a night or morning I don't long for the beautiful girl I had. Love you my amazing child. xxx

 

 

Alicia 92 days ago today. The blow was hard, the shock severe to part with the one we loved so dear. Our loss is great. We miss you everyday our hearts are sore, as time goes by we miss you more. Your beautiful face, your lovely smile no one can fill your vacant place. xxx

Another tear falls. Another day passes and we are alone.  The world gets older but for me

its still 9th June 2013 and I think of all the things Alicia will never do. Never drive her car again or go out on the town. All I have are my memories I've lost my precious jewel. I think of all the things she is going to miss. Never go to work as a physiotherapist, never walk down the aisle, never know the joys of parenthood. We miss her all the while. We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday and days before that too. We think of you in silence. We often speak your name. All we have are memories and your pictures in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake, with which we will never part. A million times we've wanted you, a million times we have cried.  If love could only have saved you, you  never would have died. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For a part of us went with you... the day you were called away.

To look upon her beautiful face on the day she was born, was a day of great joy. Little did we know our precious daughter was not to stay with us for very long. Alicia was sent to us for a short time so that we could enjoy all of the love that she was able to give. In the short time that she was here, she loved her family wholeheartedly with her precious heart.

A mothers love for her child never ends, it grows and grows and never stops, even after death. A fathers love for his child is like a bright shiny star, shines as bright as the love he has for his child that will never diminish.

Alicia battled the cancer for 21 months, bravely, positively and with immense courage. Never complaining only enduring. But the battle was too much for her little body. Our daughter passed away in front of our eyes and we felt her last breath. Our hearts are so broken we don't think they will ever mend. We miss her hugs and her kisses and being told "I love you... "

Life will be so empty without her, we need her so much. But the little comfort we feel is that we know she is no longer in any pain. We can't wait to be with you Alicia. We will always love you, and thank you for being such a shining star.
